The Drums new single ‘I Can’t Pretend’ out September 29th
New York City band The Drums have released a stream and sneak preview of their upcoming single release ‘I can’t pretend’ which is due for release on September 29th.
The single is the second from their forthcoming and much anticipated third album ‘Encyclopedia’, which will be released on September 22nd through Minor Records.
They kicked off their album campaign with a rooftop gig in NYC and followed up by directing their own video for the first single of the new album ‘Magic Mountain’, a striking Black and White video that sets the scene for a new chapter for The Drums.
“Encyclopedia is full of magic and surprise while maintaining a serious, more weighty tone throughout,” says Jonny. “We were feeling very angry, confused, and alone when we made this album; and we wanted to be very honest this time around, even if being honest meant making some people uncomfortable. We’ve left the beach for higher ground, always searching for hope.”
The Band who are currently on tour have announced a series of dates across Europe and the UK to promote the new album this Autumn, including, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France and Spain.
The UK dates are as follows:
NOVEMBER 18 – LONDON – SCALA
NOVEMBER 19 – MANCHESTER – Gorilla
NOVEMBER 20 – GLASGOW – Art School
